Nick’s Obituary

Nicholas “Nick” A. English, 15, Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch, 1203 N. Broadway, Oak Grove, MO 64075-9218; cremation. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Center Place Restoration School, 819 W. Waldo Ave., Independence, MO 64050.

Nick was born July 8, 1998, in Blue Springs, Mo. He was a freshman at Center Place Restoration School, where he played on the basketball team, ran on the track team, sang in the school choir, worked on the stage crew for school plays and had served on the Student Council. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #216 and a member of the church. He was a loving son and brother, who was a friend to all. Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald “Papa” Lidberg.

He is survived by his parents, Eric and Sarah English, and sisters, Abigail and Olivia English, all of the home; grandparents, Sheila Lidberg, Lone Jack, Mo., and Paul and Donna English, Independence, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Mike and Valerie Lidberg, Oak Grove, Mo., Jeremy and Cari Lidberg, Lone Jack, Mo., and Jeff and Emily English, Kansas City, Mo.; and six cousins.
